Overview of feed pump
The feed pump is used to feed pulp to the filter chamber. The filtration rate of the filter press depends on the feed pressure, and the feed pressure is related to the strength of the filter press and the lift of the feed pump. Therefore, in addition to the performance of conveying slurry, the feed pump should be matched with the filter press. Common feed pump has centrifugal pump, screw pump, roots pump, diaphragm pump, plunger pump, etc. At present, the centrifugal pumps used in industrial production are ordinary pumps, stainless steel pumps, mud pumps, slurry pumps, corrosion resistant plastic pumps, etc.
1. Pump selection principle.
1) the type and performance of the selected pump can meet the requirements of process parameters such as flow, lift, pressure, temperature, cavitation flow and suction process.
2) must meet the requirements of dielectric properties: for conveying inflammable, explosive, toxic or precious medium pump, require no leakage of pump shaft sealing is reliable or adopted, such as magnetic drive pump, diaphragm pump, shielding pump. For the pump conveying corrosive medium, it is required to use corrosion resistant materials, such as AFB stainless steel corrosion resistant pump, CQF engineering plastic magnetic drive pump. For conveying the pump containing solid particles, it is required to use wear-resistant materials for the convection parts, and flush with cleaning fluid when necessary.
3) high reliability, low noise and low vibration in mechanical performance.
4) the total cost of equipment, operation, maintenance and management fees should be considered as the lowest.
5) the centrifugal pump is characterized by high speed, small volume, light weight, high efficiency, large flow, simple structure, no pulsation of infusion, smooth performance, easy operation and easy maintenance. Therefore, in addition to the following situations, the use of centrifugal pumps should be preferred.
Special situation of stainless steel chemical pump:
1) when measuring requirements, adopt the metering pump.
2) high lift requirements, low flow rate and no suitable small flow high lift centrifugal pump, can be used for reciprocating pump, for example, if the cavitation requirement is not high, the vortex pump can also be used.
3) the lift is very low and the flow rate is large, and the axial and mixed flow pump can be selected. (ordinary hydraulic plate frame filter press series)
4) the medium viscosity is very big (more than 650 ~ 1000 m ㎡ / s), can consider to choose rotor pump or reciprocating pump (gear pump, screw pump).
5) medium air content 75%, smaller flow rate and viscosity is less than 37.4 m ㎡ / s, optional vortex pump.
6) for the occasions when the frequent or the pump is not convenient, the self-priming pump, such as the self-priming centrifugal pump, the self-priming vortex pump, the pneumatic (electric) diaphragm pump, should be selected.
