According to the above principles, when the vacuum or gas pressure is not high, the pump can be selected first in a single stage pump. If the vacuum or exhaust pressure is relatively high, the single stage pump often can not meet, or require the pump to have larger air volume under the condition of high vacuum. That is to say, the performance curve is flatter when the vacuum level is high, and the two stage pump can be selected. If the vacuum is more than 710mmHg, a water ring air pump or a water ring roots vacuum unit can be selected as a vacuum pumping unit.
