The cyclone is a common separation and classification equipment, and the principle of centrifugal sedimentation is often used. When the separated two-phase mixture flows into the cyclone at a certain pressure from the circumferential circumferential cyclone, a strong three-dimensional elliptical strong swirling shear turbulent motion is generated. Due to the size difference between the coarse particles and fine particles, the centrifugal force, centripetal buoyancy and drag force of different sizes and, by centrifugal sedimentation, the majority of coarse particles through the cyclone underflow outlet, while the majority of fine particles from the overflow tube discharge, in order to achieve the separation of objective classification.
The basic principle of the cyclone is to separate the liquid - liquid, liquid - solid, liquid - gas and other two - phase or multiphase mixtures with a certain density difference under the action of centrifugal force. The mixed liquid is cut into the cyclone with a certain pressure, and the high speed rotating flow field is produced in the cylindrical cavity. Density of the components in the mixture in the swirling flow field under the action of the downward movement along the axial direction, moving radially outward at the cone section along the wall down, and discharged from the bottom outlet, thus forming the outer vortex flow field; low density components of the movement to the center axis direction, and scroll upward the movement formed in the center of the axis, and then discharged from the overflow port, thus achieving the purpose of two-phase separation.
