There is a mistake that the lower the actual suction of the pump is, the smaller the load of the motor is. So the user tends to choose the high lift pump when the pump is selected, and the actual required lift is not so high. In fact, for the general mine drainage pump, when the model of the pump is determined, the power consumption of the pump is proportional to the actual flow of the pump. And the flow rate will decrease with the increase of the lift, so the higher the lift, the smaller the flow, the smaller the consumption power. On the other hand, the power consumed by the motor will be greater, even the motor overload, heat, or even the burning of the motor.

Therefore, it is generally required that the actual pumping use is more than 60% rated lift. If it is an emergency, please install a valve for regulating the water in the water pipe, reducing water flow, reduce the pump power consumption is also reduced, not prone to motor overload, but still need to pay close attention to the temperature of the motor, if the motor overheating, to timely adjust the gate valve on the outlet pipe to reduce traffic when necessary, shutdown. Note that the motor load is not increased by adjusting the gate valve or blocking the outlet pipe to reduce the flow rate.
