The chemical pump sometimes transports the critical state liquid, and once the liquid is vaporized in the pump, it is easy to produce cavitation damage, which requires the pump to have high cavitation resistance. At the same time, the vaporization of the liquid may cause the friction and gluing of the moving parts in the pump, which requires the clearance to be larger. In order to avoid the failure of mechanical seal, packing seal, labyrinth seal and other dry friction due to the vaporization of the liquid, such chemical pump must have a structure that fully eliminates the gas that occurs in the pump.

The pump with the critical state liquid can be used for self-lubricating material, such as ptfe, graphite, etc. For shaft seal structure, besides packing seal, double end mechanical seal or labyrinth seal can be used. When the double-end mechanical seal is used, the cavity between the two ends is filled with external sealing liquid. Sealing gas with certain pressure can be introduced from the outside when the labyrinth seal is used. When sealing liquid or sealing gas leak into the pump, it should be harmless to pump medium, if leakage into the atmosphere is not harmful. If the liquid helium of the critical state is transported, methanol can be used as the sealing liquid in the cavity of the double-end mechanical seal. Nitrogen is introduced into the labyrinth seal when conveying liquid hydrocarbon.
