China is made, sweeping the world, and the pump industry is no exception. Compared with the Western pump industry, China's pump industry has both advantages and gaps.
Compared with the Western pump industry, China's pump industry has two advantages. First of all, low cost is the competitive advantage of China's pump industry. The wage level of China's labor force is 3 dollars per day less than the average in the West. Most enterprises recruit workers from other rural areas, which are workers' dormitories to reduce costs. The cost of enterprise rental plant or construction plant is also lower than that in western countries. Furthermore, the rapid growth of China's construction, petroleum, petrochemical, environmental protection market and major water transfer projects also provide important support for the development of China's pump industry. It can be said that China's sustained growth in market space is a prerequisite for China's pump industry to maintain its advantages.
However, these advantages are caused by the external environment of enterprises, not the core competitiveness of enterprises, nor can they form the core competitiveness of enterprises. Compared with the Western pump industry, there is still a big gap in the pump industry in China.
The first is that the design ability can't keep up. Some large state-owned enterprises in China can produce spare parts for overseas pump enterprises at present. These enterprises have advanced computer data control processing center and CNC machine tools, computer aided design, three coordinate measurement and other equipment. But these devices are rarely used for the processing of domestic products. This also hinders the improvement of the design capacity of China's pump industry. So most of the domestic pump design ability can only meet the domestic market.
The second is that the ability of technological innovation is insufficient. At present, the advanced technology introduced by many domestic pumps is seldom done again. When overseas customers visited China's heavy industry projects, such as papermaking and petrochemical industry, many items of pump products were changed on the basis of the western design prototype according to the nominal system and the German industrial standard. The result is that it is difficult for the pump companies to export their products to the Western markets.
Third, the processing technology of pump and pump parts is backward. Although some of the domestic pump manufacturers have modern equipment, it can be operated automatically, and even the Western foundry enterprises are dwarfed. But most of the enterprises are obsolete and the working environment is bad. At present, China's pump industry can cast aluminum, copper, cast steel, cast iron, 304 and 316 stainless steel and composite pump products, but due to backward casting technology, cast steel and cast iron materials are wasted in the single field production of Beijing. In order to solve the existing problems of China's pump industry, the state has also formulated some policies. As Chinese general machinery pump industry association industry branch chief engineer Wang Ansheng pointed out, the state proposed to market for technology policy, to “ the transfer of technology, joint design, CO manufacturing ” and to cooperate with the foreign, while ensuring that domestic enterprises have the color ratio, promote domestic enterprises to master the full R & D and manufacturing technology.
